About Kathy

Thanks for taking a few minutes to learn about me, and why Inside-Out Designs is unique!  I have a passion for design and decorating, and am committed to providing quality design services at prices that suit the budget of my clients.  I don’t have an unlimited budget for my house, and suspect you don’t either, so my goal is to decorate your home just as I have my own ~ getting the maximum results, at the best possible price!

Having a General Contractor and custom cabinetmaker for a father, I grew up around design and construction.  I learned many skills from him over the years, and something was always being remodeled in our house!  I worked in high-tech through the 1980′s, but then decided to switch gears and work in the family business.  Working side-by-side with my father, I was the Office Manager for 10 years, but also gained extensive knowledge of cabinetry design, construction, materials and hardware.  At the time, I was also remodeling my first home (room by room), and was bitten by the design bug.  I headed back to school to receive an Interior Design Certificate from U.C. Santa Cruz.

I’ve worked on many projects over the years, but have also designed and acted as the project coordinator on the construction of a 5,000 sq. ft. custom residence.  I coordinated the contractors and design details, ensuring every last one was covered! I’ve always been very hands-on, and have done much of my home improvement myself.  I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty, and will be with you every step of the way on your projects.  I’m proud of my work and the testimonials I’ve received from satisfied clients, so please take a moment to read what they have to say about my services.

My vision is to make every home a respite from the outside world, and I want you to have that “Aaahh, I’m home” feeling every time you walk in the door.
